How To Use ProBond™
Your step by step guide to a flawless long lasting install.
Phase I · SHIELD™
Cleanse and Prep
Using a cotton pad apply 1 to 2 sprays of SHIELD™ directly to the hairline and any area where adhesive will be applied. Gently wipe to remove oils buildup and impurities. Allow to dry completely before moving to the next step.
💡 This step is non negotiable. Skipping prep is the number one reason installs don't last.
Phase II · SEAL™
Build Your Foundation
Using a plastic applicator apply 2 to 3 thin layers of SEAL™ directly to the scalp along the hairline. After each layer allow it to dry completely until fully clear before applying the next. Do not rush this step.
💡 Thin layers bond better than one thick layer. Patience here equals longevity.
Phase III · SECURE™
Lock It In
Using the same plastic applicator or a wood stick apply 2 to 3 layers of SECURE™ directly on top of your SEAL™ layers. Use a blow dryer on cool to medium heat after each layer until completely clear before applying the next.
💡 Once all layers are clear and tacky press your lace down firmly and hold.
Optional · Release Solution
Safe Removal
When ready to remove apply the Professional Release Solution to the bonded area and allow it to gently dissolve the adhesive before lifting the lace. Never pull or tug.
💡 Always remove with care to protect your skin and your lace.

"i have a really oily scalp and NOTHING ever stays on me. my stylist recommended i try the full system and specifically said don't skip the shield. she was right. two and a half weeks in and i'm still going strong. this is the one."

"okay can we talk about the consistency of these two because nobody told me and it was a game changer for me as a stylist. the SEAL is thin and it goes on smooth and melts right into the scalp with no clumping and no mess. and it dries SO fast like i am not sitting there waiting forever which means my HD cap is not sliding around while i am trying to prep my client. then the SECURE goes on thick on top of it and that is where the magic is. that thickness is what creates that long lasting hold. it is literally two different formulas working together and once i understood that i stopped questioning it and just trusted the process. my clients are lasting 3 weeks or more consistently now. this system was thought all the way through."

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ProBond™
About The System
ProBond™ is a professional grade lace bonding system designed to give you a long lasting secure install. The three phases work together in a specific order. SHIELD™ preps and protects the skin, SEAL™ creates your foundation adhesive layer and SECURE™ locks everything in for extended wear.
For the best and longest lasting results yes. Each phase is designed to work with the others. Using only one or two phases may reduce the hold time and overall performance of your install.
Yes. ProBond™ was formulated with sensitive scalps in mind including those dealing with alopecia, hair loss from chemotherapy, postpartum shedding and skin sensitivity. We always recommend doing a patch test 24 hours before your first full application.
Absolutely. ProBond™ was specifically developed to serve those experiencing hair loss including alopecia. The SHIELD™ phase acts as a skin protectant before adhesive is ever applied to the scalp.
Application
Start with SHIELD™ using a cotton pad to cleanse and prep the area. Then apply 2 to 3 thin layers of SEAL™ with a plastic applicator allowing each layer to dry completely until clear. Then apply 2 to 3 layers of SECURE™ on top using a plastic applicator or wood stick and blow dry each layer on cool to medium until clear. Once tacky press your lace down firmly and hold.
We recommend 2 to 3 thin layers of each. Thin layers always bond better than one thick layer. Do not rush the drying process between layers. This is what gives you that long lasting hold.
Yes and we recommend it for the SECURE™ phase. Use your blow dryer on cool to medium heat after each layer until the product is completely clear before applying the next layer.
This usually happens when the adhesive underneath is still wet. Because SEAL™ has a thin consistency it dries extremely fast which means your prep area is ready quickly and your HD cap stays in place while you work. Following the layering steps in order solves this completely.
Hold And Wear Time
With proper application most users experience 2 to 3 weeks of secure wear. Results may vary based on skin type, activity level and aftercare routine.
Yes. ProBond™ is waterproof and humidity resistant making it ideal for active lifestyles, workouts and everyday wear.
No. ProBond™ is formulated to dry clear and maintain a clean seamless finish throughout wear without flaking or stiffness.
Removal
Apply the Professional Release Solution to the bonded area and allow it to gently dissolve the adhesive before lifting the lace. Never pull or tug. Take your time during removal to protect both your skin and your lace.
We strongly recommend using the ProBond™ Professional Release Solution as it is specifically formulated to work with our adhesive system. Using other removers may not fully dissolve the bond and could cause irritation or damage to the lace.
Yes. After removal cleanse the area thoroughly and start the process again from Step 1 with SHIELD™.
